Finding the Perfect Pet Can Be Easy, But There’s Lots to Consider!

Welcome to our adoptions page! If you are interested in adopting a pet, please fill in our adoption application form and we will get back to you as soon as possible. The adoption fee is R850 for dogs (pensioner discounts available) and R750 for cats. This includes all vaccinations, deworming, spaying and neutering. Homechecks apply.  You can visit us at our Adopt a Pet stall to meet and look at our animals. Fostering also provides an invaluable service to us, it helps to literally save animal’s lives and is hugely rewarding and fun. Read more here.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does the Process Take?

Your new family member and companion can be with you in a matter of days – it all comes down to how busy we are and how quickly a homecheck can be done. Sometimes if a puppy or kitten is too young, you will have to wait until it is an appropriate age (8 weeks) before we can ethically rehome it.

How Much Does Adopting Cost and what is included?

The adoption fee is R850 for dogs (pensioner discounts available) and R750 for cats. This fee includes vaccinations to date, microchipping and sterilisation.

What Is the Difference Between Adopting and Fostering?

Adoption is when you permanently give a rescue dog or cat a home. Fostering is when you temporarily give a dog or cat a home, which suits people who cannot commit to adopting at that particular moment.

Should i adopt a younger or older animal?

Many people do not realize that older animals can actually be the easiest option when adopting. With an older animal you can see their mature adult personality, what you see is what you get, where a puppy has not yet developed their adult personality. Also, adults are almost always housetrained and you do not have to go through the entire training process with them. We are happy to help you make your decision and to discuss the pros and cons.

Can I see and meet your rescue animals whilst i'm deciding about adopting or fostering?

Yes! We have weekend Adopt-a-Pet stalls at local markets where you can meet our lovely rescue dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
