Adoption InformationFrequently Asked Questions
are you a registered non-profit?
Yes we certainly are, our NPO registration number is: 039-758. 100% of all donations received are used for the benefit of the animals.
How Long Does the adoption Process Take?
Your new family member and companion can be with you in a matter of days – it all comes down to how busy we are and how quickly a homecheck can be done. Sometimes if a puppy or kitten is too young, you will have to wait until it is an appropriate age (8 weeks) before we can ethically rehome it.
In what areas are you active?
We rescue and treat animals in the Helderberg area, Lwandle, Nomzamo and sometimes other areas too.
When did Township Animal REscue Begin?
After years of helping animals in the townships, Jillian and Vanessa Cunningham formally started the non-profit Township Animal Rescue (NPO 039-758) in 2004. Township Animal Rescue has since expanded to a small team of people dedicated to helping rescue and treat vulnerable animals.
Can I help you? How?
There are all kinds of way that you can help us. We need people to supervise our lovely rescue animals at local markets at our Adopt-a-Pet stall, people to share our posts on Facebook, people to fundraise, people to help market our charity. Please contact us if you wish to help but aren’t sure how. 🙂
